Nigerian MMA athlete living in Durban, South Africa, Bunmi Ojewole, shares her thoughts during South Africa’s women’s month – what a reference for women in martial arts and fighting sports!
Bunmi is currently preparing for her debut professional fight at EFC 62 this weekend, and still found the time to send a tribute to women training martial arts and acknowledge the strong women in her life that continue to inspire her. When not performing surgery at work, Bunmi strives to create spaces of inclusion for women in jiu-jitsu and MMA, managing Durban Girls in Gi, a group inspired by South African Girls in Gi. Female Fighters Africa wishes her the best for her fight this weekend! Thank you, Bunmi, for continuing to push the boundaries and encourage women who train!
